Insider Info for Yourdon's Forum from "the Baron"

Got off the phone w/ the programmer who you know as "the Baron". This will be detailed in a future WRP.

He's selling his McLean Virginia House which is titled to his mom. He's moving her to the farm. Her apartment is being built onto his farmhouse, a bedroom, sitting room, and a bathroom addition with a private entrance.

His employer just circulated a memo last week.

To: All Departments Re: Y2K

Prepare your remediation plans by the end of January. All Y2K work must be complete by August 1999. (I haven't seen the actual document.)

signed,

(a Large International Company)

During the call, he discussed gold, ammo (he has 3-4,000 rounds of .308), guns (he has 3 sets of .308 battle rifles, shotguns, 9mm pistols), power (he has 3 generators but the work crews use them on a daily basis.)

I'll be caching supplies at his place. On each work trip out there, I'll take another load.

My investment in Plan-C will be a lot of sweat and blisters and little money.

Rots a Ruck, Cory. Would suggest that you bump D.R. up to plan B at least.

Looks like Janet Reno better set up a raid on the "compound". The Baron doesn't seem to be going along with the sheeple program.

Thanks Cory, as always!

Mr. H.,

Thanks for the heads up. End of January? Are the finally showing their fear?

Is D.R. taking reservations?

I've been considering an excellent idea my twin brother in D.C. (works for the gov) came up with.

I'm living in L.A. and I don't wanna be around here when the clocks roll over so he suggested renting a cabin in the mountains for New Years. That idea is perfect for those who are unable to sell or unwilling to move.

Now... how do I get all my DGI family up there too? Maybe they might like a little vacation in the mountains?

If those .308 battle rifles are AR10's, hope the Baron has a lot of high-cap mags stockpiled, because I talked to Armalite this morning, as of Jan 1 they are sold out and no longer offering high cap AR10 (20 rnd) mags.
