Whitley Streiber- predicts USA Banking calamity on August 1st

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Whitley Streiber on Art Bell now - talking about y2k - predicts that the global USA to international financial system may tank on Aug. 1st '99, citing a major satellite international carrier hosted at MIT - I suppose this is due to the GPS rollover. This is a new one on me... Also saying to compound the problem is this years' solar sunspot activity at a very high cyclical level.

Hi Andy. I thought the gps rolled over on Aug. 22, 99. At least that is the date that stuck in my mind.

Thanks Nikoli, in that case your guess is as good as mine. He claimed to have "inside" knowledge...

It does roll over and reset but it doesn't stop working (that is sending out time signals).

Whatever Whitley is predicting now is whacked. Whitley's last great prediction was for the aliens to come and get him and a whole bunch of his followers in the december of 1997. It never happened, and once again he went into a psychiatric hospital after his acute psychotic episode happened. Whitley is plain nutz. Eventually he'll get something right, but in the mean time put him in the same category as Ed Dames, and other way out people. Don't waste your time

Streiber has less credibility than a 10Q report written by a lawyer and a PR flack.

"less credibility than a 10Q report written by a lawyer and a PR flack." LMAO!

Yep old Whitley is a strange bird alright, he was rambling on in the programme, didn't seem quite all there. That implant must be working :) Just Thought I'd throw it out though as he was very specific about this MIT satellite rollover date of August the 1st...

Later, Andy

Ever since 1947 (Kenneth Arnold, Roswell, etc.) I've been interested in the UFO story as it developed. But all I could afford to do was read the newspapers. From the very beginning these reports of sightings, encounters, AF pursuits, physical traces, 'messages' from 'aliens, have been accompanied by sophisticated debunking, clumsy debunking, straw men, hoaxes, threats, character assassination of witnesses, outright lies, disinformation, delusions, booby traps, tricks -- whatever served to confuse the issue. Later on reports of abductions began to appear. and generated similar responses. It was all quite confusing.

When I retired I decided to find out -- if possible -- what was going on. I now have three or four hundred books on this general topic. I've talked with witnesses, I've talked with black ops people, I've talked to friends who've had experiences, with friends who've spoken with others in covert action groups.

I've reluctantly come to conclude that 1), not all witnesses are liars; 2), not all reports are fiction; 3), elements of the government are deeply involved; 4)virtually everything that has been said on the subject is either deliberate manipulation of opinion, or unconsciously manipulated opinion.

"The truth is out there!" But in this situation it is very well hidden, even from those who are trying to control the conversation. Various individuals -- Strieber for instance -- have had experiences which they've tried to communicate. Those experiences themselves, I now believe, are aspects, and examples, of very competent manipulation, reaching into all levels of society. Its purpose is unknown, though many speculate.

Watch what people do. What they say about it is secondary. Watch what's happening. (Here's where the Web is vital.) Interpretations of events are likewise secondary.

To all concerned: Whitley has always been an asset to your Govt as an disinformationalist,he has been very helpful in writing books and discussing the evidence of Aliens and Your Govt's involvement. Except we believe that the Govt's implant is malfuctioning. But he does get paid very well for his service to our causes.....

seems like 'ol Whit has been "outed" :)

At least he didn't claim that it was the aliens who had induced our early programmers to cut corners on the date fields. Or did he?

How far is it from Roswell to Los Alamos?
