Is average JQP on the internet finally getting it?

Y2KToday has a forum for discussions which is not very active and mostly used by mainstream people, well lets just say they're not our kind of "get it's". No deep discussions or anything really meaningful on this board regarding Y2K.

I don't post there, but I had subscribed for the posting section, so it is customized and I get to see subjects of new posts on the site's main page.

Today a new subject category caught my attention: Preparedness. That wasn't there last time I visited Y2KToday. Here's a passage from one poster:

"Death and Doom...probably not. Disruptions in our current lifestyle..very likely. How big these disruptions will be, and how long they last is something we will have to wait and see. So far ive seen reputable "experts" on both sides of this fence. That too should be an indication of the possibilities. This isn't reduced to just a few radical groups on the net. This is something that has scared our own government into mobilizing the National Gaurd, and having them on alert this New Years Eve. Why would they do that?"

A woman was asking what she should do to prepare. I couldn't resist, I posted the URL to this forum.

Looks like we're moving from the "radical groups" to "mainstream preparedness forum"? ;-)
