Brownie Chiquita : LUSENET : Brownie Cameras : One Thread

I have just purchased a Brownie Chiquita, here in Monterrey, MX for $100 pesos, or $10.00 US, that looks to be in working order. I would like to know how old it is, and where I can get film for it. Where would I find a Model #, or further identifying marks on it to discern more acurately what type it is?

It appears to be made of brown plastic, with metal sliding clips on either end of the strap holding it together. It has a beige button for the shutter, and a beige knoc that appears to be the film advance on the top as well. It says Koted Lens on the front as well.

Can anyone out there answer my questions?

your camera is similar to the holiday brownie made in the U.S. and Canada. Your camera was made for the Spanish market by Kodak in the 1950's . film can be purchased through private suppliers , check the brownie page for listings. Hang on to your "very rare" Made in Spain by Kodak.
