Of the GP7's that Central had on their roster can anyone tell me which numbers had the air tanks on the roof and which ones did not. Thanks, Mike

Response to Locomotives

Mike,

The Central of Georgia owned 15 GP7s: 106-107 (delivered 1950), 120-123 (del. 1951) and 124-132 (del. 1951). Only four (4) had the roof top air tanks. They were 120, 121, 122, and 123. All four of these were phase 1, had 1100 gallon fuel tanks, and had steam generators (1100 gallons of boiler water) for use in passenger service.
