On Mon the 18th, I gave a home emergency preparedness class at our church. 171 folks, some from other churches, showed up. There will also be a seminar on financial planning and medical care in Feb and Mar.

Bob's Red Mill will also be hosting a 2 hour workshop on emergency prepredness as it relates to food selection, preparation and storeage. $15/head but they give 10% any purchases the day of the class to attendees.

Bring a pickup to class. Buy rice, beans of all sorts, wheat, rye, amaranth, quinoa, as much as you can handle. Load it all in the truck. Take it home, buy buckets and dry ice, and "Bob's your uncle."

All that grain, you'll need a way to grind it. The Millennium Mill is manufactured in Grants Pass. If you don't have one, get one. It's well made, durable and available.
