Ponce de Leon/ Crescent / Royal Palm postcards ?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Southern Railway : One Thread

I have linen postcards of the "Southerner" and "Tennesseean" exactly as they appear on the front of Southern passenger timetables in the early '40s. I have not seen postcards of the Ponce de Leon, Crescent, or Royal Palm from this era. Were they ever made and sold?

Postcards published by RR companies are known as "officials" to p.c. collectors to differentiate them from cards published by others. The following are known SR officials from the linen p.c. era: THE SOUTHERNER, Kropp, Milwaukee #32529 (E-unit in 1st paint scheme) " Curtteich, Chicago #SC-N141 ( " 2nd " " ) FLORIDA SUNBEAM, " " #1B-H1918 ( " 1st " " ) TENNESSEAN, Kropp, Milwaukee #32070 (on sweeping curve) " " " #5397 & #5397N (straight 3/4, from same photo but different cloud background. i.e.: two printings.
