The average day time temperature is 80 degrees with winter months about 78 and summer about 85. Night time temperatures are about 10 degrees less.

It rains everyday in Hawaii and you can see a rainbow if you go where it's raining. That's the key as it may be pouring on the windward side of a island, but sunny without a cloud in the sky on the leeward side of the same island.

It rains more inland than towards the ocean. There could be an average rainfall of 25" at the shore and 250"+ on the slopes of the mountains. On the island of Maui, the average rainfall for Lahaina is 17" and seven miles away in mountains, Mt Puu Kukui gets close to 40 feet per year. The wettest spot on the earth, Mt Waialeale on Kauai gets over 40 feet per year.

As for the young and beautiful...Stats show Hawaii residents live 4 years longer than the mailand. Also, Hawaii has the fewest overweight people in the nation (19.7% here versus 30% nationally). Possible reasons are as a whole we are more physically active because of the weather---a lot tougher to stay inside eating and watching tv when it's sunny and 83 outside than if it was cloudy and -10. Also, a lot of the various cultures have low fat dishes since meat and pork was not available.
