How fast does the lava travel? Some of the pictures on tv make it look like it's moving awful slow and some fast.

Lava on the surface usually travels 1-300 yards per hour, but sometimes moves 8-10 miles an hour. Underground tunnels could have lava moving 50+ miles per hour.
