For ALL ROMSz, try www.mame.dk. It is back as of 6/2001. You have to get each one separately, but they are ALL there.

You probably have to update your version of MAME, many of the ROMS have been renamed recently and sets have been shifted around eg. Pacman/Puckman and Marble Madness.

I haven't kept up with all the url's, but if you do a google search for 'mame roms', you'll come up with some good sites. I'm on the fourth page of results and have manage to get about 400 working games. Good luck guys.

I know what we need to do. We need to set up a room in perhaps MIRC where we download all of the classic Mame ROMS. If there's such a room that already exists then let me know. Otherwise, we should go through all the sites until we get every last one of the Mame ROMS.

What really pisses me off is that ArcadeAtHome has suddenly stopped serving Mame ROMS. Why? It was the best site on the net for arcade roms and on the site I no longer see Mame Roms, just the emulators. If there are emulators on sites then why don't they provide the roms? If people say Roms are illegal then why are there emulators?

I have noticed that google returns a bunch of sites from Denmark? (www.?????.de). The only way I've found to get roms is through Morpheus. However, there are mostly sets of a few hundred roms each return (zipped up), so be prepared to dedicate your system for download for awhile.

I currently have about 1,600 unique roms, but am having a hard time finding the roms that I'm missing, and single roms usually aren't available on Morpheus. My search has been futile, since most ROM sites have been shut down, or forced to take the roms off.

I have come to the conclusion that the only way to get single roms that I am missing is to contact email other collectors and compare lists and trade off.

Any ideas?

Well so far I have found 900 mame roms, all my favourites, from kazaa ( I use kazaa lite, its banner and ad and spyware free), as far as I can tell theres no mame rom I cant find there, also theres a few good links out there, remember to type in on a search engine, the actuall mame rom game yor looking for, not just "mame roms" cos that way its a better chance to still be able to be downloaded. kazaa lite link http://www.kazaalite.nl/

I suggest to look at: www.buenosaires.com. At the moment there's no better place to find MAME roms. You may find more than 900 classic games to download. and what`s more, most of the romsets really works. BTW: Where can i find a game called KIKI KAIKAI? (Yes, that's the name!!) it's a cute little MAME game :-)

You just have to create an user's ID and they'll send you a password on your E-mail (It's for free, don't worry) but, I still can't find that KIKI KAIKAI GAME!! Use Kazaa Lite (nor more Gator plz!) and find the 52.9 Mg file titled 1600+mame-roms.exe this will give u almost 1200 working roms. Then go to http://mamefans.metropoliglobal.com/listae.php This is a great site for single roms. Only problem is that they only go up to 1999. If u want more recent roms, u have to use Kazaa Lite or type the exact name in Hotbot or Google ( sometimes I add 'download' after the name and I get better results). Exact names can be found on the Mame emulator (just add .zip to the directory name)

A very good site for downloading roms, which has a range of not just mame is www.romnation.net . You find roms and emulators (Emulators are just for PC, which is no good for me, as I have a Mac), the roms range from Snes, Genisis, GBC, Mame (With All Neo Geo games in there, appart from games over 2001). There are thousands on there under each console/arcade, so happy hunting! QUESTION: I've downloaded games such as Rival Schools, Tekken and Rave Racer (Polygon Games) and I can't get them to work, is there something that I am missing, like a seperate .Zip file????? Please Help!
