"I can't show this to y'all, cause it is in the subject listing for my inbox. Steve sent out some e-mail this morning and he obviously has the date set ahead cause it says Jane 28, 2000 in the headers and the reply header.

However, in my inbox list it says 1/28/100.

And I suppose Octe 01 comes after Sept 29 too. Wonder if the whole string (from reading the date) is screwed up, or if soembody is editing/mistyping it?

Yeah, it worked. Good thing the date didn't matter in this case.

Nobody says all bugs will be catastrophic. But for those cases where the date does matter, the geeks in the trenches generally prefer that the application fail entirely, rather than write bad data. At least if it fails you know something's wrong.

This especially applies to embedded systems...
