Response to flowers picked

Certain flowers bloom at certain times of the year and then some like heliconias have seasons which they have more blooms than other times of the year. If I don't have anything sketched it just seems to be what ever catches my eye. Most the the flowers in my drawings come from my yard and if I don't have one I usually find a place to buy it or trade for it. Sometimes I do go to a neighbor's yard and sketch and bring a sample home with me - trade them for a print of the drawing or some plant that I might have.
