Milllennmnium Mill and the allignment babet bearing

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Has anyone else found that they need to lubricate the babbet bearing on the shaft/stone allignment bracket on the mill? (The bracket that is distal to the wing nut holding the stones together. It runs from one side to the other of the mill and keeps the shaft straight.)

Found that the babbet may be a touch dry as we started our first pound of wheat.

No use pretending you're Dean Martin during happy hour, Chuck. "Milllennmnium," indeed!

But thanks for the tip. I haven't broken mine in yet but will be doing so this week. How do you like the way it's built? Have you rigged up a bicycle drive for it?

Haven't done so physically, but the right shoulder (why I don't work as a medic anymore) is complaining LOUDLY this morning and I've got the design about done!!
