Does the A2 eye control focus work when camera is in vertical position?

No. the A2E's eye control doesn't work in the vertical position. The A2 doesn't have eye control by the way, but I assume you knew that and just left the E off by accident.

If you really like to have Eye Focus, you can do this way: Hold the camera horizontally and press the AF lock button, then turn it vertically and trigger the shutter. I should work, though I haven't tried.

True, the A2e doesn't, but by the way the ElanIIe does. So, if you're looking to purchase one... Roy
