I am seeking examples where an image of hope was published as a conscious choice in a news story re event described below. Have cast a wide net on web but appreciate any specific references,

There must be many examples from times of war. A classic example would be the photograph that shows St Pauls still standing amidst the smoke and damage of the blitz in London.
