I think the alternative forum is new. In order to get this going I would like to know how long you have been doing Bromoil printing? I have seen some of your work online and enjoy them very much.

Russell, I have been doing bromoil printing for appoximately four and a half years. I retired early and have devoted the past five years to working full-time in the bromoil process. I had to do a lot of exhaustive trial and error experimenting to get up-to-speed with bromoil. As a result of this experimentation I found the process to be far less difficult and less daunting than what I had earlier read about bromoil. It's a process that has gotten bad press and has, unfortunately, been cloaked in mystique and mystery.

Gene,

Yes, this is a new forum, and you've got it nailed! Your participation is welcome!

I would love to try some alternative processes like cyanotype and van dyke prints, but don't have any large enough negatives. I was thinking that I might be able to enlarge a scanned image on the computer and output to transparency just to try the processes. I probably wouldn't even mind the dots from an inkjet printer just so I could try the processes out.
