How to build muscle in six months

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Bodybuilding : One Thread

Hi I've been working out for about a month concentrating mainly on chest, arms, shouldrs & lats. I do chest & shoulders on one day & do curls & lats the next. I mix in some arobics & hack sqats & leg presses each day. I've been taking EAS mioplex lite once a day & 18 gramms of glutamine a day. I notice that when i first stared working out the next day I could feel the workout now no matter how hard I work the muscles I dont feel any soreness I have a spotter and always go at least 2 reps past what I can do. I,ve been doing the piramid work out what do you think should this produce some good results, should I be able to feel the work out the next day they always say no pain no gain. Thanks. M&M

First, What the ....are you doing using Myoplex Lite for??? I thought you were trying to BUILD muscle. If you're trying to build muscle, you need to EAT EAT EAT. Worry about getting that 6 pack later!

Also, you need to work on those legs! SQUATS! Not only are you neglecting your quads, hamstrings, and calves but there's that ever so sexy (perhaps sexiest part of your body) called the butt!

Finally, LISTEN to your body when you're working out. There is no one routine that anyone can dictate to you that is going to work best for YOU...except the one your body dictates. But above all else, EAT! Good luck. Dave.

I agree with Dave. You must EAT and eat good, wholesome foods. He is also right that you need to learn how to read your body.

For instance, I am currently at the stage of my life where in some cases it takes only one set per exercise for me to be fatigued.

Learn to read your body correctly and EAT!

Best wishes, Greg.

I believe that you should have at least 5 to 6 meals per day,and where you cannot be able to have a proper meal, try taking a meal replacement powder in between. Myoplex Lite is taken only during the dieting phase, and I would recommend Myoplex Plus/ Myoplex Plus Deluxe instead, if you are concerned about bulking up. Train every bodypart, and do not neglect your quads. Total muscular development is the only means to building a symmetrical body, other than the usual reasons like weight-training, nutrition and rest.

Hi! I've been working my gluts real good lately. And they look real good! My roommate agrees. He likes me more now I think because of the glut mass increase (and tightness!). I'm hoping by next week he'll lower my rent. He's mentioned wanting to keep me and my gluts. Anyway, use creatine a lot. It makes gluts real tight and gets you perks you wouldn't normally expect. Sean.
