Premature end of script headers in smartrack.cgi

greenspun.com : LUSENET : S-Mart Shopping Cart : One Thread

This may be addressed somewhere else in the forum, but I can't find a reference to it (although I thought I saw one the other day).

Anytime I click on "Track your order" or "Track an order" I get an error from the server stating: "Premature end of script headers" and pointing to the smartrack.cgi file.

I received this same error after modifying the smart.cgi program with a DOS editor. However, after I re-loaded the original smart.cgi script to the server and used vi to make the same changes, all was well. This may or may not be relevant.

The problem is that I never gat a "clean" copy of smartrack.cgi, so I can't implement the same "fix".

Any ideas? Did I miss something simple?

Thanks - Dan

I got such an error when the permissions were not set to execute for either the file or the directory....

This is first day I start to configure Smart. I also experienced the same problem. I am trying to solve it.
