two articles :

1) Japan Economy Continues to Crumble

2) Cyberterrorism Question : Not If, But When?

both excellent proofs of the reality of the fragility of the infrastructure, and circumstances that exist today.

Isn't is strange that we have heard over the past few months that the Far East economy had hit bottom and that there is nowhere but up to go.

AP put out a story yesterday. States that the Japanese Economy continues to crumble. Bad news for the USA economy.

CNBC Squawk Box, had economist who stated that Brazil will devaluate Real by up to 7% early 99. This will put USA banks at risk and squeeze money supplies.

We have all been told that USA's economy must see a Far East and Latin American recovery soon if we are to stay out of recession.

It doesn't look good and yet most economists and stock brokers continue to remain cheery and bright eyed. (Y2K isn't even factored in) Seems like the same old denial stuff we see every day. The myth of continuity.

Does anyone in this forum seriously believe that USA's economy in 99 will only be slightly impacted. Only facts please. ww
