Why'd you start another thread about this article? Read This? "Gov't Plans Games to Battle Bug" already exists.

I checked out the website that that article appears on, and it looks to me to be a 'dont worry, companies are working on it" type of site. Give us some concrete info on what has been accomplished, and what major companies/govt agencies are READY NOW, not the usual "ready by 12/31/98" drivel that darn near every company says but can't possibly meet.

Bill,The fact that contingency plans are being made for the U.S. military to help in 2000 is a sure sign many companies and government agencies won't be ready by 31 December 1998.

I wanted to make sure everyone saw this article. What I did is start this thread--with a more direct title--so people could find this story in "new questions" as easily as the original thread is to find in "new answers".Jack, I just thought this was a very, very important article that had to be seen by everyone.
But yes, this topic should continue at the original thread. Here's the link to the original:

In my last message, I meant to type "No Spam Please" and instead typed "Jack". It's 4:55 AM. I'd better get some sleep!
