This looks to me like it was taken in Connecticut, not New York. Otherwise, excellent work!

Doesn't the fence violate the no obvious hand of man rule? I saw a post that got nuked on account of an old rotted fence that was overgrown by climbing vines or something......

Very pleasing to just set and stare at. The trees lead you to the horizon. The fence is needed in this photo. It does show man's effect on natural processes and is just plain nice. No different than a barn own in a barn I think. It would be nice on the wall.

Stacey I echo John Tait's comment. Also, the exchange of light throughout the sky is very complementary to the far-reaching tree branches.

Stacey -

It just hit me, I painted an oil painting just like this about 15 years ago. I just found it. Four trees in the same locstion and relative angle, desolate landscape and a lot of sky. I guess I am prejudiced now but no wonder I couldn't get the image out of my mind. It's the second time this has happened to me this year with posted photos....... Now play Outer Limits theme.

Excellent image. I love it. But I have a problem with people and the 'hand of man'. If we used it to the extreme the picture would not be permitted. Not because of the fence but rather because man had cleared the land and left these trees

It's a wonderful image and let's leave it like that. I would although like to see the same image on B&W IR!
