I have seen several tv shows and read at least one article that relate horrifying experience people have had with disreputable moving companies. Does anyone know, FIRST HAND, of a good one?

Check with a local operation of a large nationwide firm that transfers a lot of people into and out of your community. You can bet that the last thing that GM, Lockheed, GE, etc wants to here from newly arrived personnel is how they were screwed by the movers the company arranged for. Especially if one of the new arrivals is say, the new division president. Also if you're near a military installation, see who is doing the moves there. Uncle has the same concerns when it comes to arranging household moves for personnel transfers. And the household shipments people don't wnat p-o'ed colonels and generals on their cases either.
