With my recent bank statement, I received a copy of the Rules for Personal Accounts. Normally, I would just throw this away, however I thought I would peruse this with regards to y2k. The revisions were indicated in bold type. One of them is as follows: "Bank may terminate electronic access to account by means of a card or code without prior notice to Depositor." Could this be an attempt to control money withdrawl?

It could be an attempt to control YOUR money and ACCESS to YOUR money. Quit using your ATM card, that way they can't keep track of where you are spending your money and on what. Carry enough cash with you for your daily needs. I found that that ATM card was nothing but a noose around my neck. The freedom of whipping out cash and not having to balance a check book is worth it to me.

This is a prime example of how asleep the people are. WAKE UP! This is YOUR money they are talking about. Your blood, sweat, tears and stress translated into a unit of worth. You choose to put it into a bank for convenience' sake. And the banks DARE to tell you that access to YOUR money can be restricted? HOLY CRAP. WHY AREN'T YOU SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS OVER THIS? Pull your money out of that bank and make it a priority to tell as many people as possible why. SEND A MESSAGE TO THESE FAT SLOBS WHO HAVE MADE A KILLING AT LENDING OUT YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Tell 'em to take a hike.
