Great Blue Heron (Car Shot)

There was a recent discussion about shooting birds from your car. This image was taken with a N70 and sigma 400 on an inexpensive bogen ball head mounted to a clamp on my car door. Sometimes it's the best way to get the image, but this type of photography is not a quality nature experience.

Answers

I knows these shots are real tough to do, and how the car helps by being a portable blind (ever go to Blackwater Refuge on Delmarva?), but it seems too busy. I find myself likeing the reflcetion better than the main image. It does have nice symmetry...

I agree with Keith, the symmetry is beautiful but the background, natural though it is, distracts from the bird itself. I think it might be interesting to present this image upside down, since the reflection is so very nice.
