What is the best way to store gasoline in app 500 gal quantities? What period of time might it be stored and still be useful?

I checked with the Sta-bil, a company that makes gasoline additives. They told me 18 months. That ain't long, is it! Don't know what the answer is.

Maybe all you have to do after 18 months is add more stabilizer?
