Traffic is getting heavy.

Far be it from me to tell anyone to not post but I just sat down and there were over 500 email messages waiting for me, from just the last 24 hours and nearly all from this forum. It is getting impossible to read them and get any good out of it. I don't want to mention any specific posts but IMHO, there are way too many inconsequential, personal back and forths, repeated opinions and other irrelevents that are getting in the way of what this forum is supposed to be for; at least by my reasoning.

Please just consider the bandwidth that is increasing exponentially, the stress on the not unlimited server capacity, the worth of your comment to the entire forum as opposed to sending an email note to a single individual, and whatever else should be considered before adding to the din.

Just a suggestion. We surely don't want to work against ourselves.

Floyd, for your sanity, take your name off the e-mail lists and just check the threads of interest periodically. Probably gonna start Y2K flooding soon.

And if you click on "New Answers" that can save you oodles of time.

It looks like twice as many messages are being posted on this forum today as there were a week ago. Awareness DID increase over the weekend!

No kidding!!! There have been several times this past week I couldn't even get in here. I'd say awareness is up. By the way, I suggest that we (isn't that bold, considering I hardly ever post) try to say a few educational things in most of the posts because there are lots of newbies out there.

If alternative water source isn't available, start storing containers, not including milk jugs, fill Dec. 99.

There. That's educational, huh?

Or, just point the archives loaded with information to the newbies. That's where I started when first got here. I had the feeling I knew Uncle Deedah and co. personally when I wrote my first post after reading the old posts ;)

To newcomers: scroll all the way down to "Old messages", they're listed by categories. A lot of very good information about preparations is stored there.

Floyd

To save bandwidth, I will not answer you.
