why are Intergraphs so damn ugly?

%(sung in verse) i hate Intergraph, and so should you. i hate Intergraph, and you do too. i hate Intergraph, damn you, Intergraph. i hate Intergraph, intel kill you. %(end of song)

i hate Intergraph; once for switching to NT, twice for building boxes before and after their OS/hardware transition.

my question, though, is that with all that money they waste on R&D (their graphics boards are slower and cost more), can't they at least pay an illegal immigrant designer dude 50 cents a day to design less ugly boxes?

Apparently not. Intergraph corporation can't even make their website look good.

They're too caught up in the idea that twin-headed boxes are better, so instead of doing it the right way, that is with a terminal or two hanging off the main box for ancillary display, they go and beat on a board until it has two monitors attached.

In reality, they'd be better off to say "here's your 3d window, here's your 2d windowing system for development, and here's a text screen for log messages" just like real computer users end up doing anyway because they want their desks to look important.

Their boxes are ugly because true beauty can only come from within.
