is urinating in pop cans OK?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Ask William : One Thread

sometimes, when i am downstairs, i cannot get up to go to the laundry sink to urinate as a proper gentleman would. instead, i empty into a pop can.

two or more questions: 1) is this legal? 2) what would Jesus do? 3) is this a health hazard? 4) how do i keep others from mistakenly drinking "dew"? 5) should i just get a dedicated "pee hose" that leads from my piece to the drain? 6) is the ownership and/or use of a "pee hose" legal? 7) ethical? 8) would Jesus use a "pee hose"?

Well, this is certainly a question to be taken seriously.

The moral and sociological implications are more consequential than the legal ramifications.

Answers to your questions: 1) Anything is legal... If you don't get caught.

2) I never met the guy.

3) urine is technically a "biohazardous material". red bag it before throwing it in the trash.

4) consider it as a "bedpan", although oddly shaped. empty it in the morning.

5) no.

6) see above... legal if you don't get caught.

7) that's between you, your god, and your roommates.

8) Please see my web essay, What Would Jesus Do? for a more thorough answer.

Let me just start by saying that a proper gentleman would not piss in a loundry sink. He would either hightail it outside or find the restroom in the building. The answers to your questions are as follows.

1. I have never heard of nor read a low prohibiting it.

2. Pop cans were not invented when jesus was on earth. I think that it is safe to say he would go outside. Of course if no one was looking he would probably piss on the floor.

3. In the word of a great sex ed teacher " Avoid insertion at all costs. That is the only way to be safe."

4. Simply label the can PISS or use a 7up can.

5. No if you feel the need for a device to help you dispose of your piss go to your local doctor. He/she will insert a tube up the hole in your piece and into your bladder. The tube is connected to a bag that you wear on your lower leg. These bags are sturdy and are sealed completely unless attached to the tube. This is of course an option for the truly lazy.

6. Refer to answer 1.

7. No. For lazy individuals depends or cathaders are the only way to go.

8. Once again such a thing did not exist in his time. If he xould not hold it he would probably piss on the floor.

I urge you to seek the help of a trained professional.
