CP900 digital camera. 38-115 @ 59 mm, macro mode. 35-mm equivalent settings 1:4.5, 1/208 sec. Handheld.

Taken outdoors at low sun angle. The noisy and nondescript background was separated and manipulated using Paint Shop Pro. I hope that is within the rules.

Gary, I have to say that I've liked your other postings shot with a digital cam but this looks too hard and "video" to my eyes; and while it is to your credit to admit to changing a noisy background, if I can't do it, I don't think you should be allowed to either. To end on a positive note, I really liked Aspen Leaf in Snow.

Garry: This is an interesting image. Almost unreal. The colors are eye-catching and simple and the image has an abstract feel to it. I also like its composition. However, like some of my images, it does not look like a nature shot. Bahman.

Thanks for the input Bahman and Mike. Guess I turned this one from a nature shot into a still life image. I'll try to respect that distinction in future posts.
