Slightly changing the camera position so that the shadow of the top one would not intersect the 2nd reed.

Nice. I got to disagree with Brad. The "interlocking" is what makes this special.

I like the shapes and have to say that the overlapping is great the way it is, as for a final image as a print it might be lacking something, as to what I don't know.

It needs two dragonflys. One on the top of each reed. Two "diamond" rings if you will.

Love the image's simplicity, exposure and composition. Although it is a little bit too lonley for my taste.
