The Welfare state. "entitlements" (at WHOSE expense??).Bandwagons; "hey, that's a good idea- let's copy it instead of thinking up our own ideas!".
McDonalds; KFC; just about every other fast-food place except Burger King.
And most importantly, the one thing that I would be PLEASED to see y2k sweep away: this ----ed-up consumer celebrity-worship culture of ours. It's decadent. It's screwed. It's falling apart at the seams and doomed anyway. And if y2k purges that, all the other hardships would be worth it.

The judicial system, Johnny Cochran, Geraldo Riveria, TV, Art Bell, all free giveway programs, whining socialists, environmental wackos, stop lights, 7-11 stores, newspapers, magazines, and the deer that eat my plants, I'll have to eat them instead. Diane and Leo: Dittos.

I won't miss my frustration with the current state of affairs; i.e., Hollywood raising our kids, and CNN dictating what's what.
-- Chris (catsy@pond.com), November 22, 1998.
Agree with most of above. Especially TV, maybe families will spend more time together. I won't miss the fast-paced society, trying to fit 28 hours into a 24 hour day. So long to the NEA, TV, government, and anyone else telling us how to teach our children. Oh yeah, won't miss my pager at all!

The idiot who gets behind you in heavy traffic, tailgates like mad, squalls his brakes when you stop for a red light, and then blows his damn horn one tenth of a second after the light changes. Memphis has the worst drivers in the USA.
