A #10 can is the size can used for large cans of coffee (2+ lbs of coffee). They measure 6" in diameter and 6 1/4" high.

Also, a #9 can is the type favored by Yoko Ono.

Goo goo goo jube.

About the Okanagan, I'm not from there but my parents live close by in the Shuswaps. Depending on how the power grid situation looks, we may end up down there as it is a heck of a lot warmer there than where we live.

Also, probably a bit safer too. Everyone there is at least 94 years old (think of Grandpa Simpson from the Simpsons)so all you'd need for protection down there is a plastic spatula or perhaps one of those kiddie guns that shoots nerf balls.

A #10 can will hold a lot of servings, but it depends on the item as to how many. If you check at www.waltonfeed.com, they have pictures of their labels that should give you some idea as to how many servings there are per item per can.

A problem as I see it with #10 cans is the quantity they hold...if you open it, you gotta use it, if there is no refrigertaion....#8 cans are serving for 3-4 people, depending on the type of food..

What is the # for the 3 pound coffee can size?

Craig: Is that Okanagan, Washington? Do you know a Dr. James J. Edwards who practices medicine there or use to?

Craig I don't know where you get your info from but there's alot of string bikini's and muscle T's around here too!!I may not be one of those but I also don't intend to use a spatula to protect my kids from the type of people we all know are everywhere in times of emergency.I don't want this to sound too defensive but the last time I looked I'm far from pushin 94 and neither are my close group of friends.Lets think back to the Kelowna Regatta riots that made headlines around the world. Many of those charged in that situation were living right here in the Okanagan. Lets not try to generalize a particular area as more safe or less safe. This is my home and its beautiful and safe but I don't and would not take lightly the safty of my loved ones.

Somthin to think about Billy

Billy.......c'mon, lighten up just a little.

The Okanagan is known as an area where many people retire. Obviously there are people of all ages and like any area there will be good people and bad people.

You can easily tell when I'm having a bit of fun...........usually there is a reference to a spatula for self defense..........

My general point in there is that is if I had a choice between say New York City or the Okanagan, I'd most certainly choose to be in the Okanagan.

Uh oh, gotta go. I think the prime minister is considering legislation for all Canadians to register their spatulas!
