I like the manner in which the light enhances the texture, color, and "veining" apparent in this shot. The mirror-image effect adds interest as well. As one who constantly struggles with the question of whether to fill the frame with the entire bloom in a macro shot or "go for the true close-up," it would be interesting to also see a shot of the entire flower taken under comparable conditions. Overall, I really respond positively to this one!

I like the imag. I don't prefer the out of focus "trumpet" in the background. It appears to be a pair of "trumpets" which IMO doesn't work well with this kind of image. A single "trumpet" whould be better to emphasize the form.

I think the background trumpet is good to have in the picture. It shows the general form of this 'plant-organ', while the trumpet in the foreground shows detail. IMO, the trumpets should be seperated, though, because it indeed appears to be a pair of trumpets. The light is powerful and suggestive.
