I'm curious about the black and white photography which has a bit of colour (ususally flowers) that's used for greeting cards. Does anyone know what it's called or who does this sort of photography? Or even where I can find places on the internet with these sort of images?

It's called hand coloring. Search through Yahoo. There's one site with hand colored infrared photos.

This process is achieved by hand painting the color on to the actual print. Many photographers use a brand of paint specifically made for this purpose, called Marshall's oils or pencils, but I understand you can use regular artist's oils as well. Some people are now using computer programs to get a similar effect on scanned images. It just seems so much more personal when they've been tinted by hand, as used to be done before the advent of color film.
