I find the tips of the flowers soft. I don't find this composition very pleasing. The cropping needs to be alot tighter on the two. This way there is not some much empty space. Also, by cropping the two tighter you reinforce the pointed shpe of the flowers..

I am just starting out with macro and flower type photography, but what I've found helps is to try and portray the subject differently from how people see it everyday. This might mean viewing from wacky angles, bizarre lighting, or using the "wrong" lens for the shot. Lately I have been playing around with close focus limits with my nikkor 28 and stretching my tripod to its gymnastic limits. This has helped my creativity, and I am finding some new views that I never even considered before. You might want to try something similar.
