NOTE: JOE ADA/BANK OF GUAM THREAD IS GONE

greenspun.com : LUSENET : 1998 Guam Elections : One Thread

NOTE TO EVERYONE:

As promised, I have deleted the Joe Ada/Bank of Guam threat because it was highly libelous and no evidence whatsoever was provided.

A letter typed up, addressed to no one, signed by no one, is NOT evidence. Anyone can type up a letter with false information. No evidence has been given to prove the highly libelous accusations, and I will not tolerate that here.

If anyone does have actual evidence, you are free to post the information.

If anyone objects to what I've done, I don't care. I've stated my policy of evidence needed to back up potentially libelous statements, and I've stuck to that policy. If you would like to point out other potentially libelous statements that I'm not enforcing, I will be glad to apply the exact same standard.

Thank you.

So who is going to investigate the billion dollar connection between Joe Ada, GEDA and the Bank of Guam? Gee, and I thought you were against corruption and crime. Oh well we understand, Tony Leon Guerrero is still lurking around the lighthouse forum.

Lighthouse, you miserable hypocrite. If the rumors or news stories or talk is about someone you are protecting, the thread is gone in a heartbeat. If it is garbage about the governor, you roll all over it like a wild animal over a carcass.

If I recall, before deleting the thread, you said "if I don't get any proof of these charges, I will be deleting this thread because it violates the intent of this website." Finally some light and truth. The only intent of this website is to cause political pain in a futile and feeble attempt to bring a few more voters to the ABC camp.

Sorry babe.! November 3rd, you can just internally combust from your hate, because WE'RE STILL THE ONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spotlight,

The difference is evidence. Anyone can make up some bs claim, the difference is EVIDENCE. I'm curious, why do you think Lighthouse opposes the re-election of Carl Gutierrez?

Why didn't you turn in your so call letter to the FBI for investigation? Who appointed you the judge to determine if it was factual or not? ... Tony Leon Guerrero? Better, yet give it to your mortal combat leader Angel L.G. Santos the man without sins so he can pass it out like betelnuts. Why not turn it to Joe Ada he needs all the help he can get to understand the political issues. Perhaps the very mugleg Fred L.G. Castro still shocked and without an idea as to what to do next after the tragic debate... would like to explain to Joe how the Bank of Guam took advantage of his honesty and integrity. This is the mugleg way.

If you have any actual evidence that. says that it was not true that the Bank of Guam received at least a billion dollars of goverment bonds from GEDA while Tony Leon Guerrero was chairman of GEDA and Joe Ada was governor please post it or the 'lack of light' will delete his own 'threat'.

Thank You

Go turn off your lights and go to another forum. All those people who responded to you don't really care to insult you in a harsh way because have you evidence or intelligence. "How do I know you don't have evidence" You sound like an actor, actors are full of bs.

NOTE TO ALL:

First, I've said from the very beginning of this web forum that potentially libelous charges with no evidence cited will be removed. I gave everyone a chance to provide evidence for these charges, just as I have in cases of charges against pro or anti gutierrez people. No evidence was given. Therefore, the thread was deleted.

Second, I had a typo: I meant that the Joe Ada/Bank of Guam *thread* is deleted, not *threat*. Must be freudian.

Vote for Joe F. Ada a good debator, electric power planner and he got 2 million dollar low interest loan from Bank of Guam for helping the Guam Airport get a 250 million dollar bond. Hey Joe how did you get 2 million dollars of unsecured loan? Come on Joe tell us the naked truth? Did Tony Leon Guerrero help you? Is this the mugleg way?

-- (deleted@message.com), October 22, 1998.

The Joe Ada - Tony Leon Guerrero story was documented by at least three people who appeared on camera making the allegations of what they perceived as improper activity. There was no proof of illegal acts but none were alleged. The story was Bank of Guam and GEDA board members (as well as financial experts) staying that they felt there was improper influence used. How is this different from Angel Santos alleging misconduct by the AG's office without documentation to back it up. The media covers it because people in the know (Sen. Santos) is questioning government practices. It's the same as the Ada/Leon Guerrero story. Both sides were presented and, personally, I feel that the allegations are flimsy to say the least.

Truthkeeper,

The acts that others on this forum have alleged that Joe and Tony did were indeed illegal, and since no proof was offered, they were deleted.

I didn't see the story you're talking about, but three people on camera does sound like more evidence than was provided before. Who were the people and what were they saying? Did they have evidence themselves or was it eyewitness reports? How credible are the witnesses?

It is these questions that I think need to be answered before we start assuming anything. But I thank you for posting the information, and because you are not alleging anything illegal, I will leave up the post, especially as an example for others to follow.

Vote for Joe Ada a master debator, electric power planner and he went to the Bank of Guam to get 2 million dollars for helping Tony Leon Guerrero obtain a 250 million dolllar bond from the Guam Airport from GEDA. Hey Joe how did you get the 2 million dollar unsecured loan? Come on tell the naked truth? So did you wash your hands clean from your honesty? Come on face the people tell the truth. You took 2 million dollars and left GovGaum in bankruptcy this is the mauleg way

Please remain rational. The Bank of Guam has confirmed (in the KUAM news story) Joe Ada's statement that the loan was 100% "collateralized" with property. In other words, the bank could NOT loose. They said any bank would make the same loan to any other commercial developer under those circumstances.

-- Truthkeeper (truth_keeper@hotmail.com), October 22, 1998.

I don't remember all the names but some of the people who appeared on camera were T. Ann Perez from GEDA, Carl Taitano, former financial advisor to Ada, Margaret Guarino, a financial advisor to the government of Guam. Their statements reflected their opinions and thoughts on the bond contract. There were no allegations of anything illegal. The GEDA board voted to give the bond contract to the BOG so it was obviously a fair and square deal, legally. The allegations are that there was something wrong because of the commercial real estate loan, a matter now put to rest by the Bank of Guam. I have no problem with the media raising questions as long as they allow the answers to be heard. I also have no doubt that the allegations were politically motivated. They still had to be checked out. In my opinion the question was asked and answered adequately.
