Cheapest way to try photo transfergreenspun.com : LUSENET : polaroid transfers : One Thread |
I would like to try to transfer a phot without buying all the equipment first. I was thinking of something that I could send or take some where to have them do it for me first. If I like what I get then I could look into getting the equipment and committing to the learning curve. Is there a way to do that?

I am doing this service occassionally, i.e., making Polaroid image and/or emulsion transfer from provided slides. Typically, I need 2 or 3 iterations for a final image transfer. I can provide exposition/filtration data for Daylab printer for all these prints. Please note that you can experiment with emulsion transfer using leftovers from image transfer without any special or expensive equipment. Please contact me if you are interested.

The cheapest way to try the technique would be to go to a flea market or ebay and get one of the old pack film cameras, I picked up mine for about $4 or $5. It is not the best camera in the world, but it works.
