Hi there! I'm also a VCD fan and I've watched quite a lot of movies already on my PC using, of course, my CD-ROM drive and Windows Media Player 5.01. I have a question though. Since the *.dat file are usually sliced (e.g. Music01.dat, Music02.dat etc), I still have to open the Music02.dat after viewing the Music01.dat. Can I have the command on how to make the media player in playing those two files continously?? Thanks =)

I don't know of any way to get Media Player to play a series of files, but the SoftPEG video player software includes "VCD 2.0 playback" features (e.g. a TV-remote style user interface). I'm not sure if that includes continuous play or not -- you probably want to check with their technical support people.

I think you can. I have created play list of .wav files. You do the same way as you do for real player- this how i did the audio files

-open note pad -type in complete dos path including the file name in one line ex- file:c:\wave\xyz.wav file:c:\wave\abc.wav and so on... -save the text file as alist.ram -now simply drag and drop the text file in the MS media player.

That has worked for me!

PS: I mean each file in one line. So if you have 3 files you should have 3 lines in the alist.ram file.

Purchase a copy of XING Mpeg 3.30 Player for $30.00 and you will get non interupted playback. After it is installed simply click on File then Open Video CD(Make sure the disc is in the drive...duh). XING will open the movie and play it back. There may be a slight pause if you drive is under 12x but it plays all the way through. I have tried this with the Mask of Zorro and it plays back great. Well worth the money.
