Mac SE30 Installation Diskette

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Mac Games : One Thread

My dear SE30 gave up the ghost as I tried to install a new printer driver. I probably checked a wrong version of the operative system as the computer prompted me with the question of which system I use. The computer came up with a window saying the operative system is corrupt and it requires the installation diskette. My SE30 was bought second hand 7 years ago, and I never got the original diskettes or an installation diskette. The SE30 probably has the original operative system installed. Can anyone help me please?

Any authorized service provider will have copies of old system software on the Service Source CDs Apple sends eavery other month. They will probably charge a duplication fee for their time, but this would be the easiest way to get the software. You can also check with a local Macintosh user group. Check http://www.apple.com/support/ for user groups and service providers in your area.
