Quaker Fabric (QFAB) stock shed 42.7 percent of its value after the company announced its earnings for the second half were likely to fall significantly below analysts' estimates due to problems related to Year-2000 compliance.

Quaker shares lost 3-27/32 to 5-5/32 after the company forecast third- and fourth-quarter revenue would be a respective 15 and 10 percent below Wall Street estimates.

Does anybody know when companies 3Q finincial statements are released? Are they all at once?

Release dates vary based on the following: (1) many companies are on fiscal years that do not coincide with the calendar year, so their quarters may end at other times of the year than the end of March (2) it seems to take different industries and companies different amounts of time to do their quarter-end accounting. However, it is common for the same industry to have the same earnings release date (at least within a day or two), such as most banks having approximately the same date for earnings release. It is common for this to occur within two to three weeks after the end of the quarter. I think year-end data is usually later after the last quarter than the earler quarters, since the earlier quarters are somewhat of close estimates whereas the final quarter needs to be an auditable figure. <<<<<>>>>>.....
