A new slant on the leaderboard

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MAME Action Replay : One Thread

I must be very bored to come up with this one, but here we go:

The following is a list of everyone who has 10 or more qualifying (that is 1st,2nd or 3rd place) scores on MARP. The number next to their name indicates the ratio of first place scores to combined 2nd and 3rd place scores.

I figure the higher the ratio, the tougher the contestant on any particular game that he has submitted a score for (tip of the hat to the monster ratio for Neil). Any other nutty ideas from the rest of the MARP gang?

Neil Chapman - 6.00 Krool - 2.88 F.Gjerde - 2.75 BBH - 2.16 Canuck - 1.80 M.Longridge - 1.43 German Krol - 1.29 Angry - 1.11 S.Krogman - 1.03 JoustGod - 0.88 BeeJay - 0.74 JSW - 0.71 B.Rodewald - 0.56 TAB - 0.47 Clu - 0.45 Oldie - 0.42 Dith - 0.41 Caffeine - 0.37 SportsDude - 0.34 Crash - 0.33 Slayer - 0.25 Zwaxy - 0.18 Thunky - 0.17 WorknMan - 0.11 Rodimus Prime -0.10 Golden Crisp - 0.09 KRA - 0.00

Well, I hope this post comes out readable for you all...have fun with it!

new slant

That's interesting. It shows who's really good, as opposed to just who has submitted loads of recordings. I thought I'd be much nearer the bottom than that!

To start a new paragraph in this board I think you have to leave a blank line. The following should be a little more readable than your attempt. I don't know how to line things up horizontally using a proportional font though...

Of course, there is a box you can check somewhere to get all the messages which are put up on this board emailed to you. Then everything is formatted just as it's typed...

Neil Chapman - 6.00

Krool - 2.88

F.Gjerde - 2.75

BBH - 2.16

Canuck - 1.80

M.Longridge - 1.43

German Krol - 1.29

Angry - 1.11

S.Krogman - 1.03

JoustGod - 0.88

BeeJay - 0.74

JSW - 0.71

B.Rodewald - 0.56

TAB - 0.47

Clu - 0.45

Oldie - 0.42

Dith - 0.41

Caffeine - 0.37

SportsDude - 0.34

Crash - 0.33

Slayer - 0.25

Zwaxy - 0.18

Thunky - 0.17

WorknMan - 0.11

Rodimus Prime -0.10

Golden Crisp - 0.09

KRA - 0.00

test

I'm wondering
whether I can
split lines up
using the
tag...

test results

Yeah - you can.

So if you want to format a list like that, you can type
where ever you want a new line to begin.

re: This is cool,but...

The original message was posted 19 days ago... 19 days ago, you only had 3 qualified scores (3/0/0).

Today, you have 12/9/11, which gives you a 0.60 ratio.
