making swimming more lower body intensive : LUSENET : Swimming : One Thread

I have been lap swimming for almost two years and while I have seen improvements in my upperbody, I cannot distinguish any significant improvement to my lower body. I must not be working it correctly. What should I do - ANY suggestions will be appreciated.

You can try kicking with a kickboard.

you should do wall sits for about a min.. and work your way up for longer mins. Or just run a little bit a day

You can also do kicks or ful crawl swimming with fins on to increase the force applied by your legs. It really worked on me!
