What is Survival Straw?

If you're talking about a water filteration unit that you suck water through to purify it as you drink, then no, it doesn't work as claimed.
"Avoid, also, straw style filters through which you literally suck the water. Though the concept is appealing, especially for weight conscious survival use, they don't filter very well in the first place and clog very quickly and are then useless. In fact, the EPA forced them off the market a while back, but you still see them around, or you may even have one, in which case, you ought to ditch it. "

TOO SHY:: >>>..for JUST IN CASE PURPOSES<<<<

Dear person, Just in case is where you DESPARATELY need to have something you can RELY on, like a Katahdin, or a water washer, or......

Just in case is the last straw, as it were, when you are down to the little kit you put together never planning to use.

Please see "Alas Babylon" Pat Frank and the Iron Rations reference.
