Drat! Nice idea though.

If the world really would stand still (for about 12 months) it would everybody time to fix the programs and embedded chips. Then the problem wouldn't happen.

In addition to the weak Y2K article(no offense to Ed Yourdon who was quoted in the article), I enjoyed the "Woman wants her 52" bust back" and the "303 lb. tumor" articles. This will buy us more time to prepare, because now all "educated" people will dismis it as a supermarket rag story. I use it as comic relief for a very depressing subject. Expect more of the same from those whom brought us the "200 lb. baby", "Elvis is my 8 month old's father", etc...

Is it any wonder that our family and friends look at us as though we were nuts?! When the main press y2k gets is in such a "quality" news magazine, our concerns are being given as much credibility as the bat-boy. If I hadn't done my research, I'd write us off too!!!
