SOMETHING YOU NEVER REALIZED!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

The deal with the first two seasons is that there was no speech. I've heard stuff about it being experimentation with pictures telling an entire story, moving the plot along and getting you to think. It evolved ultimately. But anyways----------here it is-------can you name a single short from seasons 1 or 2 in which Fon speaks a real word, not counting "hmmm..'s" and screams and sighs?

In "Leisure," right befor she drops a quadroped egg, she says in her sexiest voice "Plop." Watch the short again if you can't remember, but it's there.

ALso, is it just me, or are all the first Fon tapes really bad quality? I always have to ajust the tracking. I'd get DVD, but i'm only 15, and not all Fon stuff is available on it yet.

Yes, we're quite aware of "Plop", mainly because it was the only word Aeon ever said during the Liquid Tv years, so its hard to forget. I have it on wav file at my site.

Funny... I've never had any real problems with any of the tapes...

"Plop" isn't a word. It's automonopia.

Main Entry: plop Pronunciation: 'pläp Function: verb Inflected Form(s): plopped; plop·ping Etymology: imitative Date: 1821 intransitive senses 1 : to fall, drop, or move suddenly with a sound like that of something dropping into water 2 : to allow the body to drop heavily transitive senses : to set, drop, or throw heavily

It seems it IS a word after all.

Automonopia is not a word.
