Personal LaserWriter LS

Help!(please...) My printer just gave up the ghost!

I am getting a message on my Personal LaserWriter LS that states,"User Assembly Malfunction. Contact an authorizer service provider". Does any one out there know what the problem might be, or do I have to shell out the dough and take this very heavy printer to a service provider?

Thanks everyone.

I'm afraid this is abd. The message is actually "Fuser Assembly Malfunction." The only cure is to get a new fuser assembly installed or replace the printer. Frankly, the PLW LS isn't worth spending the money. For what it will cost to fix this printer you can buy a new inkjet and have money left over to add RAM to your compute
