Last week when that press release came out, there was a follow-up release that corrected the release date to September 1. Don't worry. I know for a fact that September 1 is when the video is being released here in the U.S. My friends at Blockbuster Video and Movie Mania and Record Town are already putting together the presold packages for the Sept 1 release to their customers. And several stores have announced intentions to remain open past their usual 12 midnight closing time to give customers their pre-ordered copies. Blockbuster Video is advertising a promotion where the first 100 people in line for the video at each store will receive a special certificate with a phone number to call to enter a contest to win a cruise vacation.

Kathleen:Thank you for pointing out the follow-up press release.

I hope I'm wrong on that one, but you would think there would be some advertising by now. It makes sense that if they changed the date, there would be many upset people that had reserved a copy. If this is the case, I apologize for giving erroneous information.Regards, Peter

Just saw 'Entertainment Tonight' a few minutes ago, and their lead story was on the preparations and round-the-clock effort to churn out tapes for the North American video release. The voiceover stated that the video is scheduled for release Sept. 1. Blockbuster video stores are planning to stay open Aug 31 until 2:00 AM Sept. 1 to meet the expected demand.'ET' is owned and produced by Paramount, which has the North Americal distribution rights, so they're probably in a good position to know.

I'm glad I was misinformed! As I stated previously, I had not seen any advertising for the release and lo and behold, tonight I saw two or three ads for this! I have a friend who has reserved a copy and is planning a "Titanic Night" at my house (bigger tv screen) so I was glad to tell him it was all a mistake. Again, I apologize for the misinformation. Ya just can't believe everything you read!Regards, Peter
