I keep reading hints that Olympus will be shifting over to compact flash cards in their new model line. I wanted to buy the Olympus 600, but it uses SSFC cards. I do not want to spend $800 only to find that compact flash is their new storage medium. Any one out there have as crystal ball or some insight?

I don't have any crystal ball on this, but my (highly-placed, usually very reliable) Olympus contact scoffed at the idea when I asked him. CF certainly seems to be gaining in popularity, but I would think a company would want to avoid the engineering costs associated with switching media types if they could.
