I am looking for information and pictures from the Pardee Curtin in West Virginia. The time frame I am researching is 1917 to 1947. I especailly want to find a picture of their shay number 12.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Karl

Please contact Moustain State Railroad and Logging Historical Association, P.O.Box 89, Cass WV and ask for a list of back issue of their journal, 'The Log Train'. The issue you want is Volume 3 Issue #2 which featured lengthy articles on the West Virginia Midland and Pardee and Curtin Lumber Co.

A likely source of photos of the #12 would be Ed Bond, who lives in the Atlanta/Marietta GA area and has a huge collection of eastern narrow gauge photos, especially in VA and WV.
