I know that I have a little time to prepare and don't need to spook the kids, they already think I'm a little fruity as it is. Remember Noah? I would go live at this community even if there wasn't any looming disaster. I am just considering leaving an older teen age daughter with family for awhile and get my younger children to the community where they will have a better quality of life.mAt what point will family see that there is a real problem and will be willing to go? Jan. 1, 2000 or before?

------some "triggers" to watch out for would be a major stock market crash, a seriously reported prime time network special on tv that might cause panic buying or bank runs, call up of the national guard, any kind of weird terrorist attacks(especially multiple). You should have already got your food, guns, med supplies, and retreat location squared away before then. If you can, pre-position most of your supplies. If you wait too long, it will be that--too late.---hope this helps--zog

Just MHO on the financial markets - I wonder how many people are looking at the high capital gains tax rates, and are figuring on liquidating their investments on 1/4/99 (the first day in 1999 the markets will be open) so they can "defer" taxes until 2000, or hopefully, not have to pay them at all...
